I went to my colleague's son's wedding in a restaurant located in OCBC building last friday night. Initially, I din intend to go. I don't know them at all but since most of my colleagues were going, so I thought I shouldnt be too anti-social. My boss fetched us from the office to the wedding place. What was hilarious was that along the way up in to the restuarant (5th level), in the carpark, we met our other colleagues and they hopped into her car thinking there shouldn't be any more lot near the restaurant. We were super early that there were actually many lots around. The food was nice. As I was the youngest amongst them and the only unmarried one, my ex colleague asked, "when's your turn? dun be too late, if not, you'll be on special offer!" *faint* I went home at 11pm as the next day was Carvivor...

I woke up at 630am to reach expo at 730am for the Power 98 Carvivor Rally. We waited until 10am before setting off to our first checkpoint (5 in all). The first one was Tampines Safra. The task was to dribble the soccer ball around the cones and kicked into the mini goals. The waiting time was super long and we had to queue under the scorching hot sun. Afterwhich, we got our 2nd clue and went to Chinese Garden for some toy archery thingy. The journey to Jurong was rather long. The 3rd checkpoint was at ECP's road safety park. It's been so many years! We played go-karting there. It was already 1pm and we went to get carl's junior before continuing the race to Mt Sophia. The challange there was to get the basketball into the hoop 4 times from various angles. For the last checkpoint, we were totally clueless about it. The slip said "hometown of the S league champions" but we made our way to Chua Chu Kang Stadium after getting the help from other teams. By the time we reach there, it was already 3+pm. We had to hurdle over one another for 110m. Finally, we gathered back at Tampines Safra for prize giving at 4. Although we were far from getting the top prize, we had fun playing the games together. hee The GPS was impressive.

This 3 days trip was fruitful. I was able to be attached to all the BM of relevant brands, worked in sync with them, understand how the manufacturing works and the product development process. I was also taken to the trade to visit most of the outlets in KL. The outlets were rather empty when i got there. Maybe it was still early. Colleagues were really helpful and approachable. Beside the business part, it was my first time staying out by myself, all alone. I was a little apprehensive initially. As the days went, after work in KL was like a mini escape. On the first night, I was really tired due to the super early 6am flight. I was lying on the bed, munching the snacks, watching the news and slowly fell asleep at 9pm. The 2nd night was pouring heavily and I was a bit feverish. Nevertheless, I still went to eat the yummy seafood assam laksa and chanced upon a Fila Jumbo sale in the shopping centre! Hahaz. Got many tops and a bag before snuggling into the bed. It was a good opportunity to spend time with myself.

Went to SIA sports club for some swimming before heading to siglap to eat my favorite fishball noodle on Saturday. The weather these days made me lazy and lethargic. Met e girls to celebrate Sam's bday at Cafe Vic in the evening. For durian lovers, please try the chilled durian puddings as recommended. They got all sorts of durian stuffs, kuehs, cakes etc. The girls were crazy over osyters as well. As for me, dun really dislike durians & osyters but dun have any liking for them as well. After that, we head down to Cathay to catch the long awaited Wall E. "It only takes a moment" A love story between 2 robots created by human. Feelings actually developed in robots, in innocent Wall E. The show was in full sound effects and not much dialogue. Simple and Educational. We went to Mr. Bean for some drinks before going home.
