Wednesday started with my fav brekkie (dried mee tai bak @ the coffeeshop) & starting work at the studio in outram for my product shots at 930am. We booked the studio for half a day to take 4 different toothbrushes (2 angles each) but the half of the day could only take 2 angles. Rather difficult to take a good shot of the toothbrush.
We went back to office at around 2pm to clear some work before heading to the 8 days 20th anniversary event (showcase of past cover pictures, stage games, drinks & light bites) and a movie preview (love & other drugs). The movie was in the 90s and about a particular pharma giant. We ended the night with Wendys for dinner.

2 more days before celebrating the arrival of 2011. Time to think about how 2010 went:

1. I changed my job. New brand portfolio, new colleagues, new challenges, new media knowledge, new products, new creatives. The steep learning curve almost drained me.
2. I went to genting, jarkata, bali & gold coast. 3 new places & new experiences such as white water rafting, flying fish, new traveling pals etc!:)
3. I visited SGH for my family members so often that I couldnt even keep track.
4. I lost my last grandparent :(
5. I went for Mayday concert (in National Stadium) & carvivor!
6. I dropped out from my jap & prop class.
7. I did more gambling (casinos & world cup).
8. I realize some people changed & became so different from who I used to know or they could have been hiding their true self all these while.
9. I did less exercising this year & been missing yoga classes.
10. I learnt that I most prob be an analytical driver.

Overall, there were a lot of new experiences. My resolutions for 2011:

1. For finance, to have disciplined savings & look for another source of income
2. For career, to be more focus and organized (current work station is a total mess)
3. For growth, to enroll in new classes that are beneficial in the long run (investing in myself)
4. For traveling, to plan for the upcoming Europe trip
5. For health & personal image, to drink more water, eat fruits and exercise more regularly
6. For relationship, to be more caring & appreciative

We were at Peony Jade Restaurant @ Keppel Club to celebrate HY's birthday on a monday night. We managed to reach on time and enjoyed the traditional chinese 10 course dinner. It started with herbal prawns & wolfberries and ended with mango pomelo sago. We had a good time chatting for almost 4hours. This year, we got the birthday girl full mj set & poker chips. We had fun role playing as mafia in the much empty restaurant. With 2 suit cases, we managed to turn them into different scenarios like gang fight, exchanging drugs with chips, bomb in the public transport. Faint. There must be a burning desire to perform in us. Lol. More photos to come later~

Life hasn't been smooth sailing lately. Moments of coldness every now and then. Tear glands were activated & almost falling out from the corners of my eyes. The last bit of strength from within was still able to hold it back. Negativity invaded my mind. Gosh. I so wanna deny this weakness but I need to recognize it to move on. Buck up! I told myself & a holiday required soon.

Event: Mediacorp Festival 2010
Place: Suntec Convention Centre
==
After registering for the event, each of us received usb armband with their information downloaded and tickets to our table (69) - supposedly quite a good view. We went around the various booths (different channels & media platforms) in front of the ballroom and had a bit of fun before getting seated. The event started with the stars coming out from the backstage and sitting with us throughout the entire showtime. The hosts were Kumar, Aunty Lucy and Michelle Chong. Kumar was super funny! and very dare to speak. The theme of the event was caberet. Hence, the whole setting was glittery & glamorous. There was a live band just next to the stage. The event lasted for 4+ hours with performances from every channel/medium/OOH. Dance, talk, comedy skit etc. very entertaining & informative. A good exposure for me too. We had a bit of refreshments and nespresso coffee before for some retail therapy after work :)

My auntie's whole family went to Japan for vacation last monday, leaving only my grandma & the maid in the house. Hence, my mum, sis and I moved over to look after my grandma. The plan was to stay there until tomorrow. However, last friday morning, on my way to work, I received a call from my crying mum saying that ah ma had left. I took half day leave, arrived at the wake to go through the ritual for the arrival of my grandma's body in the coffin. Soon, more things arrived. tables, chairs etc. I left the wake to settle some work stuffs at 6pm and went back to the wake at 8pm. Relatives arrived to pay their respects. The night went on with paper folding while chatting with Suki until 7am. I slept until 12pm and went back to the wake again. TY came and we saw a butterfly flying near the coffin. My distant relatives came again and helped us with the preparation while I went home to take a nap until my 3 year old cuz called me. The night was unbearable as I continued to fold the paper until my right arm ached like crazy. We made the morning preparation and waited until 10am before sis came over to take my shift. I slept until 7pm. The girls came at 9pm with KOI (comfort drink), paid their respect together and stayed with me until almost 12 on a sunday night. I had to work for half a day yesterday and returned to the wake in the afternoon. The paper folding was finally done. We extended the tentage area and had the night ritual. June came over from work, brought us food and paid her respect. We ended the ritual with the burning of the big paper house, clothes, paper money etc. We witnessed BH paying their respects systematically (ard 100 of them). It looked like some HK drama. A little scary. June and I went for a drink before I headed home to take a nap.
==
I wanted to go back to the wake at 3am but slept until 9am this morning. My auntie and my cuz were finally back as well. The band came at 11+am and started to play all the sad hokkien songs. Apparently, the band was decided by the son-in-laws. We began the rituals at 12+. There was this part of the ritual which was really heart-aching. Our family of 15 were split to 2 sides of the coffin (by male & female) behind the altar. My yi zhang (auntie's husband) went to the front of the altar. As he paid his respect with the basket of fruits and flowers (a blue board with silver words was raised behind him at the same time), the band played "shi shang zhi you ma ma hao". Most of us couldnt stop crying and we had to "hui li". As my father couldnt be there, I did his part. After which, we went to rest. The lion dance troop came with 2 big head dolls - one male and one female. The performance lasted for an hour or so. There were many people who came to help carry the coffin (mostly from the BH i think). We walked a distance before the coffin was put into the car (the picture above) and went to Mandai for the final ritual & the last respect in Hall 3. The ritual continued at ah ma's house until 4+pm.

We had dinner at Artichoke (previously known as secret garden) located the sculpture square on a Wednesday night after a long day at work. We had potatos, popcorn chicken nuggets and mushrooms. The service staffs were attentive. We were pleasantly surprised by the after-meal gifts (gummies) from the boss when we were about to leave. We spoke about almost everything under the sun and until thirsty/sore throat. Haha

Sunday was our annual carvivor rally. My 3rd year of participation. Our team names remained as Goldgilaz & Goldguluz all these years. This year's theme was the best of the best (best of all the games from the past years). We were given the Motorola Charm android phone as the GPS. The route went like this: Gathering at Tamp Safra -> Skipping at SG flyer -> Wheel barrowing in West Coast -> Kicking chapteh in East Coast -> Flying paper aeroplanes through tyre in Hankook Woodlands -> Footballing in Tamp Safra. The entire event lasted from 730am to 6pm. So tired & dirty . There goes our 10k again. After which we went geylang for frog's leg feast! yummy! haha. Think I overate once again..

Initially, I thought it will be quite boring for me to go to a wedding by myself. Luckily, xh, rk & d were at the same table. It was great to catch up with old cj friends once again! Some of their memories left at 10 years ago. "i thought you are with the botak guy" he said. Time simply flew by. We were reminiscing the good old carefree days. The boys were at another of our cj classmate's wedding earlier and updated us on some of them :D

Congratulations to Bryan & Adda!
==
I woke up at 630am on a friday. Amazingly, I bathed, did my make-up and arrived Ad's place at 730am! haha. The pretty bride was already prepared and taking some photo shoots. We continued preparing the gatecrashing activities and had the yummy porridge auntie prepared for us. Gatecrashing started at 9+am. The groom and bros were late by 10mins and we heard they were having ice-cream downstairs! They even sent Ad's bro to ask if we want any! haha. No bribery allowed we said! Finally, they came and we went ahead with the activities as planned. They also threw part of food away as expected! They passed the 3 stages before receiving the bride. We went to take some outdoor pictures on a slope and followed the bride to the groom's place for tea ceremony. We followed the bride back to her hse and they went through another round of tea ceremony. After a buffet lunch, we went home at 12+pm. I KO-ed for an hour plus before getting ready for the night dinner. Beckii and I did our hair at a salon in Liang Court and had Trung coffee! We reached the Novotel at 6+pm and the dinner started at 8pm. We had fun taking photos and catching up with some of our smu friends. There was a live band for the 2nd march-in. The dinner ended at 11+pm. We continued drinking at brewerks until 3am.

There is a space and a negative feeling/thinking embedded within for the longest time. I tried getting rid of it and pushing it to the back of my mind by developing new memories. It could always be temporary done, leaving bits behind. Accumulated through time, it led me to nothingness. I kept thinking and looked inside. It might be a psychological issue I thought. Rationalization became my way of defense. The unacceptable emotions or inconsistent behaviors were easily justified internally. In this way, it hid the absolute truth and presented a self-acceptable view for others. I am guilty of building reasons to explain things I couldn't have or emotions I thought I shouldn't have in the first place. Repressing the factual moments but still continuously influencing the behaviors unconsciously. The intentional lost of memory only worsens the situation... Enough of my nonsensical monday night blabbers. Time for bed.. yawnz

I felt so tired after work almost everyday. So tired that I didn't want to work anymore. The media schedule for the 2 different tv mediums was tedious. The inventory sheet that I was not sure of. The tvc proposal which I thought it could help the brand. The new product packaging creative brief which got me pondering. The in-store display card that was amended 7 times. The brainstorming session for trade relaunch that was time consuming. The training session from nielsen was beneficial in the long run. Well, perhaps I still haven't got back the momentum after August's vacations! I was so looking forward to the work-free weekend.
==
Weekend started with dinner at Ippudo in Mandarin Gallery. The queue was long but moved quite fast. I had a bowl of ramen + tamago and a glass of original umeshu. It was good but the soup was a bit oily. I bought a new pair of flat after trying so many shoes and walking around. Saturday was about banking & shopping again. Account closed. Dress & jeans bought. We had lunch at Porn's - thai food. We had phai thai mama, minced pork with basil leaves, thai ice tea and tom yum hotpot. Nice~ but quite crowded. In the evening, I attended Kit and Rios wedding. The first march-in started with the sistaz and bros marching in the traditional way. All of a sudden, the sistaz and bros ran back to the start of the aisle, took their sunglasses and positioned themselves by the aisle as the music played "let's get it started". They danced to the music. As the couple appeared at the start of the aisle, they pointed at them.With the r&b music, they danced their way to the stage. i miss the energy i had for clubbing. Haha. Nice catching up with my ex-colleagues.

Well, Sunday was meeting the girls for Tung Lok Dim Sum at 11am - belated leen's birthday celebration. Happy Birthday, Leen! :P Our first time meeting so early to celebrate bday. With our half awake looks & slightly swollen eyes (water retention), we ate and ate with gossips in between. After that, we went pp to get Koi before going to town for some shopping. Spent a long time lying/sitting on the tempur bed. So nice to sleep right away I thought. The shopping ended with a scooter brand ice-cream.

We had a manicure & pedicure party in town for e BTB last saturday afternoon! my first time for a pedicure~ hahaz yea super swaku. I chose shanghai shimmer pink for my nails~! hee. I started off with manicure. It was quite fast. Happy that my dried peeling hand had regain its moisture! The pedicurist had a tough time removing the bit of toenail ingrown though. eeks & boo. love soaking the tired feet in the warm milky water. After 3+ hours of pampering ourselves, we went Paulaner for crispy pork knuckles, pizza, lotsa "ang mo giam cai" & beer! We ate, talked, listened to live band from 7 til past midnight. We made a dedication for the BTB with no song in mind. The band chose "Lucky":
"And so I am sailing through the sea
To an island where we will meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning 'round
You hold me right here right now
I am lucky I am in love with my best friend"
Th night ended with us having supper in Tampines at 3+am. Slept at 5+am.

Place: Gold Coast, Brisbane, Australia
Stayed in: Watermark Hotel, Surfers Paradise
Date: 26 to 30 Aug 2010
Travelled by: Singapore Airline

We were off work by 4pm on thursday to catch the flight at 9pm for Brisbane!! Our rather long awaited trip! I caught 3 movies - The Back-up plan, Shrek Forever After and Iron Man 2 (haha, yes again). Yiling & I had wines so that it could put us to sleep but just find it difficult to sleep upright. Hence, she read books as I continued watching the movies & listening to the music. & when we were about to fall asleep, the plane landed. Still wide awake, we reached Brisbane airport at 7am to meet Scott, our driver aka tour guide. We had a crash course on Brisbane city. We went to the Wheel of Brisbane as Scott talked non-stop about the only thing nice in Brisbane was the climate~ We had a walk in the city hall. After which, we went to their Chinatown to have dim sum for lunch (totally not nice but we were to hungry). After lunch, we went to mount nathan for wine tasting & sheep feeding. We had our photos taken to be part of the wine label. Most of the wine require mixing with soda so i just got a small one for souvenir sake. Next, we moved on to Harbour Town to have some shopping. We were excited to get good deals but after 2 hrs of speed shopping, nothing bought! The prices werent that attractive afterall. We finally checked in to Watermark Hotel at 6pm. Our room was facing the sea & Q1 building :) We put our luggage and had a walk around surfers paradise. Call it workaholic or what, we spent quite a bit of time in their supermarket! haha, it was more than the time we spent shopping. We had dinner at the legends chinese restaurant. Just felt weird to keep having chinese food in aus. After dinner, we went to the friday night market, along the beachline. quite number of stores with their own creations.It was quite cold with the strong wind. around 12 degrees perhaps. We were all so tired after a long flight & staying awake for 38 hrs!! We zonked out at 11pm.
==
The 2nd day, we woke up at 7am and went to the beach for a walk/stroll, after having breakfast at Waves. The beach was beautiful & it was already filled with surfers. The cold sand & water was refreshing. Observing at the seagulls, watching the surfers & listening to waves. Nice start for the day! We went to movie world after that. We watched Shrek 4D. hahaz, it was quite fun with the water splashing at you when shrek sneeze, the actual feeling of spiders crawling on your feet & the motion of the characters. We went on the stunt driver show. They were good! amazed at how they could control the car so well & act at the same time. There were explosions scenes, parallel parking act & motorbikes as well! We had a buffet lunch whereby most of the characters appeared in the restuarant for photo-taking! yippes! but no sight of daffy & tweety! argh. Harry Potter shop was disappointing. I had ice-cream while walking around the world. We took the wanted photos (6 of us suddenly only worth $240k), get the coins, did funny actions & watched the parades after that. I did quite abit of shopping there. After the movie world, we went to this outlet that sold lots of macadamia nuts! We bought quite a bit of things there. We had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. Only the ribs & veggie burger were edible. haha. We went more walkabout that night and headed to the Casino in Jupiter Hotel which was 10mins away. rather crowded on a saturday night. The night ended at 11pm.
==
The 3rd day started with us waking up at 5am to catch the sunrise by the beach. from pitch dark to the rays of sunlight emitting from the clouds, we waited. It was terribly cold at that unearthly hours. Despite that, we had a good & relax time at the beach before heading for brekkie. We set off at 9am to west tweeds head (new south wales) for catch-a-crab cruise! As we were too early, Scott brought us to point danger. The view was great. It was almost directly opp of surfers paradise. There were even more surfers riding the waves. Janet, Yoke Cheng, Yiling & I made a common wish at the wishing well (but din come true...haha) We began the cruise by feeding the seagulls & pelicans. There were so many of them. The river was still, surrounded by greens & birds. We were taken to a shallow part and started our yabbies pumping activity! hahaz Yiling and I got 3 yabbies & 1 snail. The yabbies were meant for fishing bait. It took me a lot of patience for the fishing part. haha i din get anything but yiling caught 1~ We went on to catching the crabs! The crabs were huge & they cooked for us immediately. The oyster was fresh (normally, i dun eat but that was really too fresh for me to resist). After which, we had buffet lunch at the seagulls club. All of us were too full to eat much but their apple crumble with ice cream was great!! We went for Superbee farm after the lunch. Normal Bees live for 7 days whereas Queen Bee lives for 7 years. Reason being, Queen Bee eats royal jelly!! After the bee farm, it was f&e until seafood dinner at 7pm. We went to Woolworth supermarket, walking the aisles repeatedly! Happy with our supermarket shopping, the seafood dinner at Waves was good! Fresh juicy prawns & nice curry mutton!! Not wanting the night to end after dinner, Kim Song, Kim, Janet & I headed to Q1 building (77 floors) to get nice night view of gold coast but to our disappointment, the last entry was at 815pm. Sigh. We headed to the crowded part of surfers paradise & went to Avenue pub for an australian beer before heading home the next day.
==
The trip was relaxing & a bonding time for the marketing team.
==
1st Sept was offsite meeting at The Pines country club for 1 whole day. Stressful but glad it was over. The roasted lamb there was good!

First time travelling with HY after knowing each other for more than a decade. We arrived at our Villa Phirus close to 1am on a friday night. The villa was huge, with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 big pool, 1 jacuzzi, 1 living room, 1 dining area, 1 kitchen, 1 mini garden, 1 pond and 1 waterfall. We explored the every inch of it and were surprised & happy! hehe. Not wanting to sleep for the start of the trip, we jumped into the pool for a night swim until 3am.
==
The first day started with the doorbell ringing at 9am. Brekkie was ready and set up at our dining table. Excitedly, we tried all kinds of brekkie the place offered. We left the hse at 11am and the hotel pple sent us to Kuta. Started the beach activities with some haggling with surfboards owner. The body board surfing was fun enough for me, as a beginner! After battling with the waves, we went to book for our white water rafting trip for the 2nd day and met some mad men. We went on to Made Warung for dinner. So hungry and thirsty that most of us ordered 2 drinks. We went some shopping and ended up with massage at Smart. After an hr of massage, we took a big cab to Ultimo for dinner. The place felt like dempsey with a fast food restaurant price. Nice ambience, yummy food and cheap price! We went to K Circle to stock up food & drinks. We bought so many things and ended up getting $70 worth of snacks! We went back to the hse and played with the pool again! The night ended with us watching the fireworks at KuDeTa!
==
The 2nd day was an early morning. We went to a far far away place for white water rafting. We were so excited that we kept talking non-stop on the car journey. After a while, we realized that the driver was almost dozing off and felt quite scared. We tried to keep a lookout for him all the while. Finally, we reached the river for the 2-hr white water rafting. First time, quite fun when we kept falling off, rafting into waterfalls, splashing water at one another & falling off the 6m dam. However, the journey back to the top for lunch was endless steps. Argh! We went back home on a bumpy journey. All of us were so tired that we made no noise and slept throughout the 2 hr journey back. While si was doing her massage, we played with the water again! haha. After her massage, we went to a nearby Indonesian restaurant for dinner. We went to Seminyak Sq's Casa gourmet for some shopping and headed to Ku De Ta for some drinks. The place was nicely decorated due to their 10th year celebration. We went back home and recuperated.
==
The 3rd day was lazing around in the villa, pool jumping and going to pak malem for babi guling. As there were no cab in sight and si was rushing off to the airport, 7 of us squeezed into a rather small cab! Faint. Things we do. haha. We finally reached seminyak with some slow traffic. We shopped around, got our beach package for the next day and went back to the villa to continue for more massage. While the rest were having their massage in the garden, beckii, sheena and i played daidee and the loser kena draw on the face~ We had ice-cream as well. After that, we went to Cafe Betawi for dinner! After dinner, we went to a mini provision shop near our place and headed back to play drinking games! all of us was kind of tipsy!
==
The 4th day morning was parasailing, banana boating and flying fish at tanjung beach in nusa dua. flying fish made me feel like a kite. haha. Leen also finally found her Magnum ice-cream there. After which, we headed to Kuta for lunch. Leen brought us to this place called Bamboo Corner cafe. After lunch, we continued body board surfing in Kuta, watched the sunset and shopped in the small alley. We had our dinner at this Taman Sari Cottages. While buying our dresses from Uluwatu, hl and i saw a provision shop turned into a club. haha like khao san. After dinner, we headed back for more pool jumping and drinking games!!
==
5th day was going to Seminyak beach for more surfing!! The beach was beautiful. The wave was so strong that we got drifted further and further away from our beach chair. There were moments when some of them were into the waves. scary. I finally caught more waves this time with the guidance of my master, leen! haha. We had lunch at some beach restuarant and headed home at 3pm...

A long weekend finally. Met my ex-bosses for dinner and coffee on friday night. Had a potluck & mahjong session at sam's place on saturday. We had salad, fried bee hoon, steamed salmon, curry chicken, rojak, vietnamese po pian, potato salad, grapes, cherry tomatoes, cheng teng, secret recipe's chocolate cakes, moscato and indonesian coffee. many many food. 2 rounds of mahjongs before having mac hotcakes for brekkie at 6+am. Sunday was watching sorcerer's apprentice at filmgarde. been quite long for a movie on magic. nice movie but the lead can be cuter. haha. After which, we had dinner at pp, koi and dessert at cheesecake cafe. a weekend of nuaing & binge eating. Today I re watched one of my fav korean drama serial.

4 more days to the long awaited bali trip.. miss the sun, sea & sand :)

I had never thought of going Jakarta until MMM was held there. MMM was a regional discussion on the destiny of a certain brand/category. The 4-day meeting began with us taking an hr or more to get through the custom. I can only say that the officers were really "detailed". It took us another hr or more to get to Kempinski Hotel, located in the central of Jakarta. The traffic was rather congested in the evening. The security at Kempinski was really tight. Bags must be checked at every entrance. Detectors were also there. Kempinski was built in the 60s and was recently renovated. The hotel was gorgeous for the price. Huge beds, nice bathtub (but also no chance to use), automated toilet, ipod dock (no need to bring charger) & so on. On the first night, we had a welcome dinner, hosted by Indonesia at Paulaner. As we all know, Paulaner equates to lots of meat and fresh beer. There were around 50 delegates mingling around. Most had been in the companies for decades and knew one another very well. A greenhorn like me had not many conversation topics except the performance of my previous company, hows the flight here, food & to certain people, the progress of my product development (which is very behind schedule), some cog issues or production issues.The night ended at 10ish with a pint of beer & live band. What a way to end a Monday night. The 2nd day, we woke up at 6am for breakfast and took a coach at 7am so as to reach the office at 8am. 1 hour journey. At the end of the day, we had trade visit in CF. Haha, everyone was excited to see the share of shelf, the packaging, the product claims, spotting new products etc. We had a sumptuous meal (hakka cuisine), hosted by LCJ. There were sea cucumber (the japanese called it namoko), scallops, lobsters, crabs etc. There were quite a number of hidden talents/singers in the group as well. Their voices were superb. 2nd night ended at 11pm. We were already too tired. The 3rd day started even earlier but it was more of light discussions and factory tour. 3rd night was f&e for dinner but it was so coincidental that 7 of the 9 countries went the same Indonesia restaurant despite the huge number of eating places.
==
Overall, the meeting was insightful as each country exchanged their marketing ideas. The preparation of this meeting almost got me killed. Need to get started on the next steps ahead...

Happy Birthday to Sheena! We had steamboat at her place for the celebration. We met at 5+pm at e finest supermarket in PP (after beckii & i tried to study for our jap exam in cafe of art aka ex starbucks in pp library) and loaded the trolley with lotsa food & drinks (got too many food once again)! Loving tyrrells chips! I met LY at Watsons before buying koi bubble tea. Yummy. We reached her place at almost 7pm, did preparation and steamboat started at 8pm. We ate, sang song, gave pressies and started playing some drinking games while watching huo yuan jia. After which, we played a bit of mj, poker and ended the night at about 4am..

Last friday night, we had dinner at california pizza before proceeding to Party World International Building for our very own concert (jay, mayday and mambo songs). We had a good time shouting at the top of our voice for 3 whole hours and reminiscing the past. Haha. Ended the night with tea at TCC.

I woke up earlier than normal working day and met the rest at 8am at Tanah Merah Mrt Station on the rainy & floody Saturday. We headed to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. We took a ferry at 10am to Nonsapura Ferry Terminal and transit to Leisure World Cruise ($42 for ferry & inclusive all 4 meals). The journey took 1.5hr and some of us felt kind of nauseous. The sea was choppy and the ferry had some strange smell. When we reached the cruise, we had to deposit our pp with them and went to starlight cafe for the buffet lunch. Although the food didn't look appetizing, it was not bad especially for the shisamo tempura, drumstick and fishball noodle. However, they did not have cold drinks. Hence, we found ice and made our very own teh o peng/teh peng. Haha. After a filling lunch, we went to get our slot cards & checked out the cabin room (contemplating if we should stay over). There was a deal that if we change $300 wooden chips (can't encash straight away), we will be able to fully refund the $42. However, to play safe, we shared the $300 chips and got back part of the $42. We went to the tables (there were free flow of drinks, porridge, yam paste and curry puff to be consumed at the tables) and played until the bingo time at 4pm which was at the lounge. Prior to the performance, a lady was dancing and singing "nobody". Finally the bingo started. Each of us bought 2 tickets but din not manage to win. Sianz. We went to play some slot machine (they gave us some slot voucher) and bought ice cream. We went to the tables and continued playing before gg for buffet dinner at 5+pm. We were eating non-stop. We continued playing after dinner. We decided not to stay over and took the last ferry back at 945pm to Habourfront. We slept throughout the ride while the TV was playing the 1993's Stephen chow's movie. It was freezing cold. We reached Singapore at 1130pm. After which, we went to watch "Despicable Me" in GV Vivo. I like the lightstick part and the ending competition. I was laughing in my sleepy mode. Reached home at 3+am. Was almost active for 24hrs. Zzzz

My birthday treat from the girls was Asian Tunch (Tea+Lunch) at Marina Mandarin's Aquamarine this rainy afternoon. We met at 12pm. We had fun making the penang rojak, muah ji and bo pian. We had lots of pork soup, chicken, dim sum, egg tarts and bread. There were some peranakan kueh kueh as well. oh, we had our DIY ice kacang, bandung and ice-cream! Non-stop eating until almost 4pm. haha. Nice to catch up with one another! :)

The weekend started with a last minute FIR concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium. The premier seatings tickets were from my boss :) The concert began with a performance from a local indie rock band, blackforest. Honestly speaking, I haven't been following FIR's music since my uni days. Those familiar songs truely reminded me of the good old days during the ktv sessions we had - lydia, wo de wei xiao etc. I was hoping for the tian tian ye ye but they din sing. Another nostalgic moment came when Faye sang "In the arms of an angel". I remembered watching it in the small lido classic 10 over years ago. Haha. The guest appearance was Stephanie Sun. I thought it was rather unexpected but apparently, her fans were just right behind us. We remained calm and seated until "Get High" came. The concert lasted for about 2+hrs. The night continued in bellini and ended in the powerhse. argh, its been 4+ years ago since the last time I dropped dead. I was apologetic. Sigh..

Saturday was recuperation, working on Japanese essay, some shopping and dinner with leen & beckii before meeting hl for World Cup at MBS at 2am. The place was quite empty when we got there and got ourselves the 2nd row seat. We had nacho, green tea and coffee. It was like watching movie. Almost fell asleep at 2am and became wide awake when Mueller got the first goal! haha. Forlan's kick was fantastic!! Still feeling upset for Ghana. It was a good match & all of us won~ Haha. The MBS carpark was big and expensive. They had buggies to send us to the other end of the carpark. Got home at ard 6am after some wait for the cab.

Cant imagine I am in my late twenties. My first bday celebration started with my ex-colleagues in giraffe (our ex hang out place). They got the live band to sing birthday song for me. & those who could not make it, called to sing the cantonese version. :) We had tapas, beer and baileys.
==
Next was celebration with Junie at Epicurious in Robertson Quay. The food was good. Ambience was cosy. We had prawn miso pasta, grilled chicked, meatballs, camomile tea, snapple. Junie had got the service crew to sing me the birthday song and presented the cake. Hee happy! i absolutely love the pink tulips wrapped in brown paper (old school wrapping). *looking at them now, seems to have grown taller*. She had planned for the night to continue somewhere else but the rain did not stop. Nevertheless, I appreciate the efforts and thoughts put in. We went on to Sheena's place to watch Netherlands vs Brazil with the rest while playing a bit of mj at the same time! I liked both teams. We had a difficult time opening the moscato. Cheers! When the clock knocked 12, they presented me my fav tiramisu n a bday song! hahaz. After which, we went to have supper at xin wang. Wanted to head home but in the end, continued watching uru vs ghana with them. felt sad for ghana. I went home at 6am in a very comfortable look. haha
==
Actual day was dinner at Asia Grand with the rest of the girls. I really like the soup and food although the crowd seems to be much senior. Haha. Thereafter, we went to HY's place to watch ger vs arg. Arg was disappointing. I guess that was the first time, all of us gathered to watch soccer together. During half time, we did our usual - bday song singing, cake cutting, picture taking and pressies thingy. We continued to watch and went to 2 fat men to watch the next match - par vs spain. It was quite exciting with the penalty kicks! We were screaming at the top of voice when villa kicked in! haha

First time to the production of TV commercial. Details, details and details. Looking through the lens, making the itsy bitsy changes so that it looks perfectly natural and thus convincing. The day started with heavy rain pour early in the morning. We met in Vivo's Coffeebean. Ultimate is a good way to start my day. The AE fetched us into Sentosa. We stayed in the lobby with the crew and the star for a while to wait for the rain to stop. The star was in deep sleep, casually dressed in jersey, berms and slipper. Finally, when the rain got lighter, we took the buggy to Villa 7 (my fave number)! We put our barang barangs and headed towards to the common swimming pool for the swimming shot. On the way, we saw peacock and 2 other animals. I asked loudly, "What are they?". The star shouted over, "They are ducks". This star was friendly I thought to myself. But there is a doubt in me if they are really ducks. The whole long pool belongs the star only. It was still drizzling when shooting. The star was trembling he said. The star seemed to be having fun with the water though. As we watched and scrutinized the every frame, mozzies were attacking my calves. I managed to take revenge and killed 2 of them. My colleagues and I chit chatted while waiting for the next shot. As I tried to take some pictures while filming, the star did some pose and was smiling all the way. This star didn't seem very distant. After which, we went back to the Villa for the outdoor showering shot The star showered countless times until the skin was slightly red. Didn't get it right the first few times. Not enough bubble, wrong angle, product not placed properly, not enough shine etc. We had packed lunch (chicken rice) with nespresso coffee while watching the world cup repeat. Over lunch, the star spoke about his fav team etc. The next location was hortpark but the rest of us had to go back ofc to continue our unfinished work... not done as yet still.. braindead..

Back to Newton Circle food centre for LY's belated birthday celebration! We used to go there for dinner after doing projects, lessons etc. We ordered many many food until the table could not fill it. Appetite seemed to have grown smaller these days. We ended the night with some drinks at Sheraton.

Work, this week, was coming like a huge wave. I don't even have time for my daily tea break anymore. To-do list is lengthening as well. Nevertheless, I am glad that I am dealing with similar things of a larger scale and learning different perspectives. Keeping an open mind. Still wishing for later working hours though. Feeling sleepy every morn & cabbing almost every other day. Internal meetings, creative briefs, discussions, farewell lunches at asia grand & sushi tei. Met up with some of my ex-colleagues for a beer-ing session. Got to know some hideous part of certain people.

Received a piece of blissful news from Junie on thurs night! :D Happy for her! everything must have felt so right & guess she must be feeling the happiness still! Haha amazed at how her hubby-to-be contained the surprise (after hearing all the stuffs).. hee

We were looking forward for this day to come. A day that was a dream 10 years ago. We were so happy that our youngest girlfriend is starting a new chapter of her life and we are able to witness this very important moment of hers. We reached the lobby at 10+am and had our brekkie at the lounge before going to Room 301 to find her make-up artist doing the final touch. After congratulating the couples and their parents, we went down to the cafe and were supposed to be helping out with the polariod photo-taking session (a contest for the guests to participate whereby they were suppose to pose with props and the most creative team will win taka vouchers!). Instead, we started playing with the props and took many many pictures. Haha, we were just playing amongst ourselves when one of us said, "we should be working alr. if not, hy might sack us." The girls were trying to get the guests to pose (there were 3 polariod cameras) and take pictures while I went around to take other photos. (haha too many cooks spoil the soup la) We had fun amusing ourselves once again. I met her dad and mum. They were really happy and cheerful lot. The female JP arrived at around 12+ and they marched in to the grassland at 1230pm. The sun was scorching hot. It was a simple vow, exchanging rings and cheering for bride and groom. We went back to lunch (bread was buttery and crunchy, chicken was tender, soup was just right. The food was quite nice) while the couple went through the games designed by their cuz. The videographer, emcee and cousins labelled us as the TKGS friends! One of them asked if we had competitions with the girl school around our premise (you-know-who). We proudly said, "Nah, not much of a competition" hahaz We had group pictures taken. We went in and out of the air-conditioned restaurant and super hot outdoor to take the pictures. I almost had heat stroke. Almost to the end of the wedding, bride, groom and their families performed the wonder girls' Nobody for the guests! :D It was entertaining! We thought this solemnization was rather elaborated and almost like the customary wedding dinner. Haha
==
After the wedding, we went to Sam's place to have 2 tables of Mahjong! Haha we are mega addicts! Up our bet again! luckily, only lost $6... phew...Dinner was in Duck Noodle in Pasir Ris... ended the day at 10+.. tired!

Work had moved on with a faster speed. Assignments, random meetings, brain-storming and attaching to my boss for ads online evaluation. Something different from the last 2 weeks. We sat there, listened to every sound effect and if each frame, vo and sound coincides. My colleague told me that I will mostly likely be in beauty care. well, well.. I was thinking about other category instead but I guess I am good as well.The badminton session (finger got blister after a while), togi korean food (nice nice, i like the sides) and mcflurry (wanted to have snow ice but was closed) with my colleagues was filled with laughter & teasing. My ex-colleagues were about pubs, beers and hard liquors. It is so different. Haha hopefully things will be go on smoothly and better.
