a dinner at e end of the 4 days brought back many memories i had w my cuz. how everyone had matured over the years. how we dun meet up tt often & yet there r things we can still tell each other about. also how a family of 30 put all grudges aside & helped out in one way or another. perphaps dis is the only time whereby e entire family is that united. it is quite saddening. e whole ritual last night lasted fer 4 hrs w intervals in between for toilet breaks. it ended w all of us hand in hand in a big circle w the paper car, hse, gold, silver etc burning in the middle. diz morn, most of my cuz cried when we were viewing him for the last time. i held back. walked a distance in socks on the road before hopping up the bus to get to mandai. the viewing mall was elevated. i stood on the 2nd level. e coffin appeared n was gradually sent into the fire. the elders were chanting while sounds of sobbing could be heard. it ended in a split second. all diz enhanced the importance of cherishing those alive. shld show care & concern more often to the ones you truely love.
