I joined my coy for our MD's farewell dinner at UOB plaza on the 60th floor tonight. The view reminded me of the days in OCBC. The food was fantastic although the servings were small. It started off with lo hei-ing. Its a bit early for this I guess. This is my first time with other pple besides my own family. With many different kind of seafood in between, it ended with a flower-shaped nian gao. I loved steamed cod fish the best, followed by the teochew seafood rice in soup. A rather quiet, slow meal. Our MD (from US) told us about his plans after leaving. He said he gonna spend 180 days building his investment coy, 90 days sailing to Maldives and 90 days having fun. He is moving back to Langkawi where he built his house on a hilltop, oversee-ing the ocean and had an agricultural farm. what a wonderful retirement plan.... wow...
