They called it "kong dei" in hokkien. This is my first time. Months before today, my colleague had been preparing this ceremony for her late mum and dad. It was believed that this ceremony/celebration held in the big field under the huge tentage will be able to do good for them. There were praying at intervals, paper house that was about 4m tall and 6m wide, paper cars, paper human. Lorries were used to bring them to another place to be burnt. I saw her bloodshot eyes. She had been crying for 3 days and unable to sleep whenever she saw their photos. She said there were 2 butterflies when the monks were chanting. She believed her mum n dad had transform to butterflies and came back. They had passed away 5 years ago...

JLPT3 was like a 3-hr tikaming session.. Sigh.. Back to sch of econs reminds me of environmental science class..
