So its been 10 years since I last stepped into my secondary school, TKGS. The gathering was at our void deck where shuttle runs, cheerleading practises and results announcements had taken place. A simple layout with about 8 tables, 1 screen and a TKG flag. It was amazing how the words came so naturally when they played the music (my fav part: we're not blessed with beauty nor everyone with brain but each from every other has something good to gain) and never fail to shout the last phrase: For credit of our country and glory of her name. High on school spirit, we continued with our never forgotten cheers. Games were played like recognizing the teachers. Gosh, I had no inkling of their names when hl could rem every single one of them. Some teachers who had left years back came back for this reunion. One of them was Adrian Lim (my english and maths teacher). I could still rem how he forced everyone of us to keep a book of phrases so that we can use them in our essay writing. Me, being unable to write those fanciful lines had to ask Islin to give a few. Lol. There was also once, where he scolded leen and me in class for talking to each other. Memories... Everyone had moved on but still looked e same. Saw a few HGS as well but just smiled. It was strange that the 5 of us did not know each other in secondary school ended up being a lifetime clique (ok, except for leen and si). We explored the same old school that we spent 4 years in, took pictures with our ex-classrooms, examined the board of honor, took a second look at our crest (lion, tower, wheel, turtle, lamp and winged shoe), motto (moribus modestus which meant demure & resolute in latin -> hahaz how ironic) and posed with our statue:
