Saturday was having beef noodle at Seah Imm, visiting Body World exhibition at Science Centre, shopping in Imm's Daiso, eating steamboat at Imperial Skye, was stuck in a carpark jam for 1 hr (the queue started at level 5), playing mj at sam's house at 12am. The exhibition was educational and controversial. It was like a revisit to biology class. Familiar yet vague terms. I was greeted with formation of human life. From zygote to embryo to fetus. Every single week, the baby grew. We didn't believe it was a real baby. We could see the process from birth to adulthood to aging to death. Topics such as aging, illness, disease, centenarian population (okinawa is one of them, their secret to living longer and happier) and quotes from Henry Ford, Albert Einstein etc were also displayed. Pancreas, muscles, spleen, bones, heart, brain, intestines, liver, vessels were displayed. How they will look like in the human bodies at various motions and the cross sections of some. It was amazing how plastination could preserve the bodies and balancing the bodies into various positions. There were some animals such as giraffe, octopus, rooster etc displayed. There were also notice boards telling visitors to treat the donors with respect, sample donor form on why he had donated his body (he wanted to be useful even afterlife), the process of plastination (it takes about a year), omron pressure monitor (my heartbeat is still too fast) and chops stationed for collection. Human body is like machine with lots of unknowns. I read one of the quotes which says "It's not about adding years to life but life to years." I ended the visit with a note in their book. We went on to Science Centre (still rem the climbing Albert Einstein?). Haha I like the energy section. After some roaming in Science Centre and Daiso IMM, we went Chinatown for steamboat. It was quite worthwhile, $17.90 per pax but the place was rather difficult to locate. We went back to the carpark after wanting to buy bubble tea (e queue was horrendous). We were stuck in the car queue at level 5 for an hr! We couldnt believe the speed of the car and imagined many scenarios such as gantry spoilt, car battery died, cars cutting queue, common pickup point. We couldn't stop imagining. We finally reached sam's place at 12am for 1 round of mj. true blue mj addicts we are!
