I was slightly taken aback when they said that they want to have a small celebration for my farewell but glad that we had developed into another form of relationship whereby we are able to share other passions outside work. Their support had truly left me worry-free all these while. We decided to have nasi padang at Hock Lock Kee tonight. It was a simple old school restaurant (they had a spoilt 20cents weighing machine inside). They ordered about 10 small dishes (beef rendang, chicken, curry fishballs, veggies, squid, prawns, fried fish, etc) and were tactful to remember my likes. All of the dishes looked red hot but they din taste red hot except for the beef rendang. We spoke about some common people around us. After the dinner, they even had a present for me. It was out of my expectation.

Calls from the planners from MY were heartwarming. I would really love to say goodbye in person.

Countdown mode. 5 more working days. To think that I still have purchase orders to make, perfume meetings to attend, trade visits to go, last report to be done, approvals to give, work table to clear...etc
